This post is part of a series of weekly e-mails that I send out to my e-mail list every Friday about my week as a digital nomad.

Sorry I’m popping in your inbox so late this week – been a truly hectic day!

That being said, there’s no way I’m going to miss my weekly opportunity to chat with you…

Here we go!

Where I’m traveling

This week is really special for me, because after 14 months of traveling, I finally came back to my hometown of Vilnius, Lithuania.

I haven’t seen my parents and most of my friends for almost 400 days, so being able to meet all of them is truly special…

I’m sure you know how I feel, don’t you?.. 🙂

What I’m reading

For the last couple of months I’ve been reading a book every week and sharing it with you.

However, this week I decided to share a truly wonderful article with you, one of the best articles I had ever read in my life: “How Amazon Generates $136 Billion In Sales“.

It’s an awesome case study, where they analyze how Amazon managed to become the world’s largest online retailer and how they continue to grow at unimaginable speeds.

If you’re into e-commerce and online marketing, you will definitely love that article. Check it out!

Quote I’m pondering

“This is your life and it’s ending one minute at a time”.

– Tyler Durden, Fight Club

(If I ever have an apartment, I’ll print a HUGE poster with this quote on it and hang it on my bedroom door, so that I’d see this quote every time I wake up).

Best on BeNomad

We finally got our very first interview with a freelance translator who has built a very successful translation business while traveling the world.

She’s Japanese, she’s traveled to over 30 countries and she’s totally awesome. Read her story here!

Nomad of the week

Our digital nomad of the week is ma boy Micky from the Netherlands!

Seven months ago Micky bought a travel van, left his life in Holland and started traveling around Europe.

He could afford all those travels simply because he had a few digital marketing clients that he was working with back home (all those nomads seem to be digital marketers, hey!)

These days Micky is still on the road, roaming those epic European mountain passes while sleeping in his van and providing good quality service to his clients.

He also spends quite a bit of time blogging about his travels, so if you’re curious to learn more, check his blog out.

Hope you’re enjoying yourself wherever you are and… have a wonderful weekend!

Best,
Jacob.
